This will be a wonderful and ambitious tour to the Salzburg area of Austria where we have seven nights at the Landhotel Schutzenhof in Fuschl. The hotel overlooks the lake, and is surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery, ideal vintage motoring. This will be an experience not to be missed by the enthusiast! Many thanks to Len and Lesley Meades, and Simon and Angie Slaffer for arranging the en-route hotels. Our seven day stay at the Landhotel Schutzenhof is being organised by Tony and Linda Hunt who know the hotel and the surrounding area well. The itinerary will include suggested tours of the mountains and lakes, with coffee and lunch stops, and evening entertainment.

Route
The rally starts on Saturday 30 May when we gather at the Hotel du Golf, just south of Laon, near Reims. It is conveniently reached from several major Channel ports: 160 miles from Calais, Dieppe and Zeebrugge, 200 miles from Le Havre and 245 miles from Ouistreham. The route then passes through France, Germany and Switzerland to Fuschal. The round trip, from Laon to Fuschl and back to Laon, totals about 1,300 miles which is similar to our hugely successful pilgrimage to Le Canadel in 2012 (90th anniversary of the 20hp) and the 2015 Grand Tour to Venice. The map gives an indication of our planned route; we will proceed at a comfortable pace, using good secondary roads and avoiding motorways where possible. Distances per day range 56 to 190 miles, average 105 miles.
After Laon we have three one-night stopovers; the return leg will include a two-night stopover at Mulhouse. There will be time to visit places of interest en route, such as the Franz Vornier Rolls-Royce collection in Dornbirn and the Schlumpf Museum in Mulhouse.
