Tony Strachan of Australia

1925 Park Ward 4 door 6 light Saloon GNK50

The 20hp was delivered to Sydney in 1925 for the first owner Mrs Hill. Tony bought the car in 1961 and in 1963 sailed with it to Europe for an extended tour of the Continent, including communist Hungary and Czechoslovakia. Tony ended up in London where he got a job and in 1964 he sold the car to Gus Savalas brother of the actor Telly Savalas, who took it to the USA.

Tony later returned to Australia and heard that GNK50 was up for sale so he decided to repatriate it to the country of its first owner. A full report of Tony's European tour is published in the 20-Ghost Gazette (Australian Chapter), see below. Tony has now restored the car to concours as-new condition.
