Tod & Mary Marshman

1926 Limousine by A C Penman Ltd of Dumfries GZK32

Tod & Mary Marshman bought GZK32 in the summer of 2022 from David Cord (owner since 1999). The Twenty carries limousine coachwork by A C Penman Ltd of Dumfries. However, the chassis records show that it was originally to have had Landaulette coachwork but this was changed by the first owner Robert Douglas MacGregor, philanthropist of Wiston Lodge, Biggar. He had previously owned the 1923 Twenty GH77 a Penman Cabriolet. Along with other Scottish coachbuilders, Penman never produced the quantity of motor bodies of their English counterparts with only three examples surviving, but their work was highly regarded and they were Presidents of the British Carriage and Automobile Manufacturers in 1920 and in 1926.

A low mileage and largely original car with several unusual fittings, it benefitted from mechanical care by Keith Bowley of Ashtead Keynes in the 1980's.
