Ken Jenner

1925 Galle Saloon GPK17

The chassis was off test in September 1925, and was bodied by Galle of Boulogne-sur-Seine, Paris, its first owner being Sidney J Whelan in USA. GPK17 appeared in the RROC magazine Flying Lady in 1953. It then spent some time in a museum in Montreal where it was fully restored/conserved. Ken Jenner bought the car in 1988 and repatriated it to the UK where it was issued with the number plate RR5625. Ken has looked after it ever since, using it regularly, mainly for short distances and wedding hire.

As well as building the body for GPK17 Galle also bodied two other Rolls-Royces a 1928 Phantom 1 88EH (see photo) and a 1929 20hp Limousine GLN69.

Due to illness Ken is now (December 2023) looking to sell the car. It is reported to be in perfect running order, starts instantly and runs well.
