James Emery

1926 Arthur Mulliner Six Light Saloon GZK64

The car was delivered to its first owner J. H. Sexton in 1926.

The chassis was originally built for Cockshoots of Manchester, however for some reason it was delivered to Arthur Mulliner of Northampton on May 26th 1926

The first owner Henry Jesse Sexton of Unthank Road, Norwich was a boot and shoe manufacturer.

The second owner was Geoffrey E. Brett who was Mr Sexton's next door neighbour, possibly a cabinet maker.

More recently the car spent 20 years or so in Lisburn, Co Antrim, Northern Ireland.

James Emery took delivery of the car in April 2022, since then the vehicle has been off the road for most of the time due to various mechanical problems. During the Autumn/Winter of 2022/2023 the vehicle was in the safe hands of a well known and highly respected Rolls-Royce and Bentley specialist, undergoing considerable engine, mechanical and bodywork correction, transforming the vehicle.

Plans are afoot for Autumn 2023 for further work to be continued on the engine.

The vehicle is an absolute joy to own and drive, in many ways thanks to the repair work so far, and performed beautifully on the journey to the RREC Annual Rally 2023.
