Craig A Buckley

1924 Originally a Rippon Bros 4 door Saloon re-bodied by Leyshon James as a tourer in 1970's GDK37

Originally sold to Mrs Cordeux of Bunny Hill, Nottingham on 24th October 1924. After passing through several owners it was sold to Lady Colwyn in October 1976 by which time it was wearing its current tourer body. During her ownership the car appeared in a couple of TV productions, the ITV mini series "Winston Churchill - The Wilderness Years" and 1985/86 LWT drama series "Mapp & Lucia" serving as Lucia's car in all the episodes.

There is a large rear French rear trunk with the car which may be older than the car. The engine is currently out of the car and dismantled. A replacement block has been sourced and refurbished including new liners fitted back to standard.

The car is currently for sale (04/02/25). A new set of rings is included but white metal work to the bearings will be required. An engineering company in Yeovil who are familiar with the engine are more than happy to undertake this work.
