1927 Originally an H. J. Mulliner Weyman Saloon, re-bodied by Southern Motor Co in the early 1930's. GXL18

Allan Pantin lives in Florida USA and has owned 1927 GXL 18 since 2007; over that time has been restoring it . Its registration no. is PX7717 and engine no. is D7X . The car was re-bodied in the early '30's by the Southern Motor Co. of Clapham SW4 who re-bodied many 20hp Rolls Royce cars during that period, making them look more contemporary. GXL18 has a particularly pleasing and stylish coachwork as a sport saloon colour black and gold . 

Allan enjoys taking GXL18 to shows and leisurely driving on week ends.

GXL18 was first owned by Vicountess Cowdray of Midhurst.  Lord Cowdray was MP for Colchester 1895-1910.  The car was shipped to the USA in the early '90's.
